Mark S - The Eastern Shore of Maryland, USA

I can play guitar (electric/acoustic), bass (electric/acoustic), drums (a bit anyway), various percussion instruments, fiddle (well, can't play a lick, but there's one in the basement anyway), and banjo (just barely a bit).

I can speak fluent English. Also, I can say things like "Wurden sie bitte mein fussballe aufpumpen, frauline?" in German.

In college, my major was Computer Science and my minor was English (creative writing). I see them both as creative processes and it makes sense to me. Others turn their heads sideways and mutter.

I like to fiddle with computer art (genetic visual art, adaptations of conway's game of life, nonsense word toys, real-time graphics etc). I play lots of guitar - standard blues stuff, open tuning oddness, slide resonator, fingerpicking, monster distortion electric, fiddle with effects etc). I can plunk on a bass reasonably well. I can make sounds with a banjo, but it's not very polished. I can play drums a bit. I adapted one of my short stories into a 10-minute play and it was recently performed in a little town near my home. A collaborative album sounds like fun, or serious trouble, or parts of both.

I enjoy making up songs about dogs and singing them to my dogs when no one is around.
